Helmsman managed a parcel of light industrial land in the Calgary area. Helmsman oversaw all aspects of the operation of the property, including negotiations with lenders, tenants, service providers, as well as property accounting and investor communications. Helmsman assessed strategic alternatives for the asset, which ultimately resulted in the successful sale of the property.

Full Spectrum Management of a Biopharma Incubator
Helmsman was appointed CRO by the Supreme Court of British Columbia of a medicinal cannabis company which had been granted protection under the Companies Creditor Arrangement Act. As CRO Helmsman oversaw management of the business, made disbursements, engaged, retained and terminated employees and marketed the property for sale.

Financial Management of Outdoor Cannabis Grower
Helmsman was appointed Interim CFO by the Supreme Court of British Columbia of a large cannabis grower. The Helmsman team oversaw the day-to-day financial management and eventual sale of the company.

The BC Supreme Court appointed John Parkinson as interim CEO and CFO of a diverse group of companies which had been granted protection under the Companies’ Creditor Arrangement Act. The Helmsman team oversaw the day-to-day management of over $350 million in real estate assets while coordinating the restructuring, sale or spin out of these assets.
